Fronteira is a Portuguese village in Portalegre district, Alentejo region and Alto Alentejo sub-region, with 1 696 inhabitants (2021).

It is the seat of the municipality of Fronteira with an area of 248.60 km² and 2,858 inhabitants (2021), subdivided into 3 parishes ( Cabeço de Vide; Fronteira; São Saturnino).
The municipality is limited to the north by the municipality of Alter do Chão, to the east by Monforte, to the southeast by Estremoz, to the south by Sousel and to the west by Avis.

Cabeço de Vide is a Portuguese parish in the municipality of Fronteira, in the Alentejo region, with an area of 65.81 km² and 1,063 inhabitants (2011). Its population density is 16.2 inhabitants/km².
