Sousel is a Portuguese village located in the District of Portalegre, Alentejo region and sub-region of Alentejo Central, with about 1,783 inhabitants (2021).
It is the seat of a municipality with an area of 278.94 km² and 4,360 inhabitants (2021), subdivided into 4 parishes (Cano; Casa Branca; Santo Amaro; Sousel). The municipality is limited to the north by the municipalities of Avis and Fronteira, to the east and south by Estremoz, to the southwest by Arraiolos and to the west by Mora.
