Juromenha was until 2013 a Portuguese parish (parish) of the municipality of Alandroal, in the district of Évora, with 32.08 km² of extension and 107 inhabitants (2011). Density: 4.4 inhabitants / km². It has the alternative name of Nossa Senhora do Loreto.
Located in the extreme northeast of the municipality of Alandroal, the parish of Juromenha had as neighbors the parish of São Brás dos Matos to the south and west, the municipalities of Vila Viçosa to the northwest, Elvas to the north, and the Spanish municipality of Olivenza, to the southeast. It was the smallest parish of the municipality in extension, population, and demographic density.
It was conquered by the Arabs and later by King Alfonso Enríquez in 1167. Important events took place during the Portuguese War of Restoration in the 17th century and the Peninsular War in the 19th century.
